Laundry Coordinator - Environmental Services

Laundry Coordinator - SUMMARY:

Responsible and accountable for providing direction to all Environmental Services personnel to ensure hospital goals are met. Exhibit leadership qualities that will inspire, motivate and develop department into a cohesive team.

Laundry Coordinator - JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years supervisory experience in organizing work forces to obtain budget and production goals.

Must be able to identify and implement cost saving ideas and programs through independent decision making.

Other: Health Care experience a plus. Complete understanding of all aspects of Environmental

Services/Laundry. Ability to manage work flow, ability to communicate and interact positively with coworkers and other hospital staff.

Good communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.

Laundry Coordinator - Safety Sensitive Designation:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Ability to move about freely, extensive standing and walking. Ability to communicate orally and in writing to solve problems and make decisions. Will visit all areas of hospital and support facilities. Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more using proper body mechanics. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals, etc.

Laundry Coordinator - Work Environment:

Hospital environment; works in all areas of the hospital and support facilities

Laundry Coordinator - Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Customer service staff: 5 days a week, Monday – Friday 8 hour shifts. Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet staffing need.
