Job Description

Senior Product Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in United States .

This is a senior product design opportunity focused on shaping AI-powered experiences for millions of musicians worldwide.
You will design across Web, Desktop, TV, Mobile, and plugins, creating a cohesive ecosystem for learning, practicing, rehearsing, and music production.
The role combines strong product thinking, systems thinking, research, interaction design, and exceptional visual and interaction craft.
You will turn complex AI and audio capabilities into intuitive experiences that feel powerful without feeling complicated.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, AI, Data, and Marketing, you will help define problems, validate ideas, and ship meaningful value quickly.
The environment is highly collaborative, distributed, and action-oriented, with significant autonomy and low ceremony.
This role is especially suited to a designer who actively produces music and deeply understands professional audio workflows, DAWs, and plugins.

Accountabilities:
  • Design experiences across Web, Desktop, TV, and Mobile, maintaining consistency and coherence as musicians move between platforms.
  • Create products and workflows that support musicians and producers in practicing, learning, rehearsing, writing, recording, and producing music.
  • Translate complex AI and audio capabilities into simple, intuitive, and immediately understandable user experiences.
  • Conduct and synthesize research with musicians across different skill levels and use cases, turning insights into actionable product direction.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system, ensuring scalable and consistent experiences across multiple platforms.
  • Move rapidly from early concepts and sketches to high-fidelity and coded prototypes, using interaction and motion to resolve design questions when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, AI, Data, Marketing, and senior leadership to align priorities, communicate design rationale, and deliver features efficiently.
  • Navigate different levels of the organization, from user conversations and engineering collaboration to executive-level presentations and strategic product discussions.
  • Give and receive direct, specific design critique that raises the quality and consistency of the overall product experience.
  • Balance simplicity, scalability, technical feasibility, and user value when making product and design decisions.
  • Contribute to a culture of ownership, experimentation, continuous improvement, and daily delivery of meaningful user value.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience designing complex software products that are used regularly by real customers, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to make powerful technology feel simple.
  • Deep, hands-on experience producing music using professional tools, with a genuine understanding of creative workflows from personal experience.
  • Strong fluency with DAWs and VST/AU plugins, including knowledge of professional audio workflows such as recording, MIDI, mixing, routing, and signal flow.
  • Experience designing or building music instruments, effects, plugins, or related creative software is a strong advantage.
  • Experience designing AI-native products or working with the unique UX challenges associated with probabilistic systems.
  • Ability to move quickly between design fidelities, from rough sketches to interactive and coded prototypes, including motion and interaction animation when appropriate.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments where problems, specifications, design systems, or established playbooks may not yet exist.
  • Strong mastery of interaction design patterns, with the ability to select appropriate patterns, adapt them across platforms, or create new patterns when necessary.
  • Ability to maintain coherent experiences across Web, Desktop, TV, and Mobile.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to clearly explain the reasoning behind design decisions.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research independently and translate customer observations into product decisions rather than simply design deliverables.
  • Experience using code-based prototyping as a regular part of the design process.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
  • High degree of autonomy, curiosity, ownership, and comfort making thoughtful trade-offs in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively across technical, product, and creative disciplines.
  • Ability to work effectively in distributed, cross-time-zone teams where written communication and asynchronous decision-making are essential.
Benefits:
  • Full-time remote position.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO).
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Physical and mental health support through Moises Care.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work with a distributed international team across Brazil, the United States, and Europe.
  • Exposure to complex AI, audio, creative technology, and multi-platform product design challenges.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership within a highly collaborative, fast-moving product environment.
  • Benefits are location-based and may vary depending on the candidate's country of employment.
