Block Party Hotels is looking for a friendly, dependable, and flexible Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor who is excited to learn both sides of our front desk operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, can think on their feet, and wants the flexibility and experience of working both traditional front desk and overnight shifts.

What You’ll Do

Depending on the shift, you’ll be responsible for helping create a smooth and welcoming experience for our guests while keeping the front desk operation running efficiently. You’ll be cross-trained in both Front Desk and Night Audit, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and become a versatile member of our hotel team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly, efficient check-in and check-out experiences
• Handling reservations, modifications, cancellations, payments, and guest requests
• Answering questions about the hotel, Dewey Beach, local attractions, restaurants, and the surrounding area
• Resolving guest concerns with professionalism, good judgment, and a positive attitude
• Communicating with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to keep hotel operations running smoothly
• Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Learning and performing nightly audit procedures, including balancing and reconciling guest accounts, room revenue, and transactions
• Supporting late-night arrivals and early departures
• Monitoring the property and following hotel safety and security procedures
• Handling overnight guest needs or unexpected situations calmly and independently

• Organized and able to juggle multiple priorities
• Comfortable solving problems and making decisions
• Detail-oriented, especially when working with payments and reports
• Comfortable using computers and learning hotel systems
• Able to work independently when scheduled for overnight shifts
• Flexible with scheduling and willing to work a combination of shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Previous hotel, front desk, or customer service experience is a plus, but hospitality experience is not required for the right person
