This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Supervisor(a) de Montagem BOPm based in Brazil.
This role is responsible for supervising the mechanical Balance of Plant (BOPm) assembly and installation activities across hydroelectric projects.
You will oversee field execution at hydroelectric power plants and small hydroelectric plants, ensuring deadlines, contractual requirements, technical standards, and quality expectations are met.
The position combines technical supervision, workforce coordination, contractor management, safety oversight, and project planning.
You will work closely with site and construction management to sequence activities and ensure teams have the tools, equipment, and resources required for successful execution.
The role also involves controlling technical documentation, managing non-conformities, and coordinating solutions with engineering teams.
You will support customer teams through training and technical assistance while contributing lessons learned to improve future projects.
This is a remote-based, full-time position requiring frequent travel to project sites in Brazil and internationally.
- Supervise the assembly and installation of mechanical Balance of Plant (BOPm) systems at hydroelectric power plants and small hydroelectric plants, ensuring compliance with project schedules, contractual requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with site and construction managers to plan the sequence of field activities and ensure the availability of qualified personnel, tools, equipment, and other necessary resources.
- Monitor the technical competence and performance of third-party contractors, ensuring execution follows established procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable safety standards, company procedures, and local regulations, prioritizing the safety and integrity of personnel and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical drawings, project documentation, and field records.
- Identify and document non-conformities through NCR reports and coordinate appropriate technical solutions with engineering teams.
- Provide training to customer teams regarding system operation and offer technical support during and after the assembly process.
- Analyze field processes and share lessons learned with engineering and project teams to support continuous improvement and more efficient future operations.
- Facilitate effective communication between site teams, contractors, engineering, construction management, and customers throughout project execution.
- Completed technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electrotechnical studies, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience supervising BOPm assembly activities in hydroelectric power plants.
- Solid understanding of mechanical Balance of Plant systems and field assembly and installation practices.
- Experience supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with technical procedures, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Experience identifying non-conformities and working collaboratively with engineering teams to develop technical solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize activities in complex, project-based environments.
- Intermediate Spanish proficiency.
- Intermediate English proficiency is considered an advantage.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Willingness and availability to travel frequently within Brazil and internationally, including to remote project locations.
