This leadership role is responsible for driving regional fundraising performance through the strategy, execution, and optimization of high-impact peer-to-peer and event-based development programs. You will lead and coach a team of development professionals while ensuring revenue targets, engagement goals, and event execution standards are consistently achieved. The role blends strategic planning, hands-on fundraising leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with individual giving, corporate development, and operations teams. You will play a key role in strengthening donor relationships, expanding fundraising capacity, and improving long-term revenue growth. This position requires both analytical rigor and strong field presence, including active involvement in fundraising events and stakeholder engagement.
In this role, you will lead fundraising strategy execution, oversee development teams, and ensure successful delivery of peer-to-peer events and donor engagement initiatives that drive revenue growth and long-term sustainability.
- Develop and implement regional fundraising strategies to achieve revenue, recruitment, and engagement targets
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of development professionals to ensure strong performance and accountability
- Oversee planning and execution of peer-to-peer fundraising events, including Walk to Defeat ALS® and Team Challenge ALS®
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts in partnership with individual giving and corporate development teams
- Manage event budgets, track donations, and analyze fundraising performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Build and deliver fundraising presentations, materials, and communications for donor and community engagement
- Strengthen volunteer engagement through direct outreach, speaking engagements, and relationship-building activities
- Ensure accurate use of CRM systems and data tools to track fundraising activity and performance
The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit fundraising leadership experience with a proven ability to manage teams, execute large-scale events, and achieve ambitious revenue goals in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or event-based nonprofit revenue generation
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding fundraising and revenue targets
- Experience managing and developing teams, including coaching, performance management, and delegation
- Strong knowledge of peer-to-peer fundraising strategies and donor engagement models
- Experience working with CRM systems and donor management platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, writing, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and event-driven schedules
- Willingness to travel and participate in evening/weekend events as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and virtual collaboration platforms
