Yard Jockey in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at Feeser's Food Distributors

Location: Harrisburg, PA
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
Pay: $20/hr - $24/hr

Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family-owned foodservice distributor serving customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We supply restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, and other institutions with dry, refrigerated, and frozen food products.

Feeser’s is seeking a dependable Yard Jockey / CDL Switcher to support our overnight transportation operations. This role is responsible for safely moving trailers between our facilities and docks, ensuring inbound and outbound freight flows efficiently throughout the night.

• Move loaded and empty trailers safely throughout the yard and between facilities.

• Drop, hook, and position trailers according to nightly load schedules.

• Conduct yard inspections and equipment checks.

• Coordinate trailer movement with transportation and warehouse teams.

• Deliver equipment and trailers to designated locations as needed.

• Assist drivers facing Hours of Service (HOS) limitations.

• Report damaged or inoperable equipment.

• Maintain a safe and organized yard environment.

• Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Class A CDL required.

• Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.

• 1+ year of experience in yard switching, CDL driving, transportation, warehouse, military, or related operations.

• Comfortable backing trailers and operating heavy equipment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Safety-focused with attention to detail.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and yard equipment.

• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, and fast-paced environments.
