Job Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record clients’ health status by taking vital signs and noting any changes or concerns.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document administration.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and community activities as needed.
- Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and other team members regarding clients’ conditions and needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Respond promptly to client calls and requests for assistance.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Experience in a caregiving role or relevant training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to follow care plans and document client progress.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
