Facility & Industrial Maintenance Technician (Millwright)

We’re currently looking for a skilled and dependable Facility & Industrial Maintenance Technician (Millwright) to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our facility and production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll take on a dynamic mix of facility and industrial responsibilities, including:
- Maintaining and repairing building infrastructure (doors, walls, floors, roofing, loading docks)
- Performing routine inspections and addressing safety hazards or damage
- Supporting general upkeep, including minor repairs, painting, and grounds maintenance
- Assisting with winter operations (including snow removal or coordination)
- Conducting basic HVAC and ventilation maintenance
- Troubleshooting and repairing facility electrical systems (up to 600V within guidelines)
- Maintaining plumbing systems and compressed air systems
- Diagnosing and repairing production equipment (extrusion, cutting, bending, pressing, laser cutting)
- Performing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
- Completing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Conducting post-repair safety and operational checks
- Supporting fire alarm, security, and emergency systems
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and coordinating external contractors when needed
What You Bring
- Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) certification or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and industrial maintenance background
- Experience with electrical systems (motors, controls) and basic machine wiring
- Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., MP2 / TPM systems)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a logical problem-solving approach
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to be on-call and support different shifts as needed
- Valid driver’s license and passport (occasional travel required within Canada/US)
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
