About the Role
Private Coaches help Members and Guests build strength, confidence, and a love of movement. As a Private Coach, you'll build your own training clientele, design personalized one-on-one and small-group programs, and support a community where everyone belongs.
What You'll Do
- Build a personal training client base through one-on-one and small-group coaching
- Assess each client's fitness level and design safe, effective programs aligned with their goals
- Demonstrate exercises with proper form and provide clear, accurate instruction and cueing
- Develop encouraging, professional relationships with Members and provide ongoing motivation and support
- Conduct consultations with new Members and maintain regular follow-up with clients
- Operate all equipment safely and properly, and promptly report any issues
- Follow all Bouldering Project policies, procedures, and emergency protocols
- Participate in trainings, team meetings, and community events
Required Qualifications
- Nationally accredited personal training certification (NSCA, ACSM, NASM, or ACE preferred)
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Ability to assess fitness levels and build programs that recognize each client's potential and limitations
- Clear communication, mature judgment, and sound decision-making
- Observant, safety-conscious, and able to react calmly and quickly in an emergency
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Exercise Science or a related field
- Experience building a client base in a gym or studio setting
