Manager Technical & Integration Lead (Workday Financials)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager – Technical & Integration Lead (Workday Financials) based in United States.

This role leads technical delivery and integration architecture across Workday engagements within a specialized consulting environment. You will combine hands-on development expertise with client-facing architecture leadership to design secure, scalable, and high-performing integration landscapes. The position spans discovery, technical requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization, giving you broad ownership across the transformation lifecycle. You will work closely with finance leaders, technology teams, enterprise architects, security specialists, and third-party vendors to translate complex business needs into practical solutions. The role also offers the opportunity to influence integration standards, mentor technical resources, and introduce innovative approaches to Workday delivery. With exposure to alternative investment businesses and sophisticated financial ecosystems, you will help clients build technology foundations that support growth and operational complexity

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and participate in discovery workshops with client project teams, technology leaders, and functional stakeholders, documenting technical requirements, integration dependencies, security needs, non-functional requirements, and system constraints.
  • Define integration strategies and develop technical architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, interface inventories, and end-to-end data flows across Workday and the wider enterprise ecosystem.
  • Own technical delivery plans and oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization of secure, scalable, and high-performing Workday integrations.
  • Design and develop complex integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and Workday Extend where applicable.
  • Design scalable data pipelines for ingesting and distributing high-volume operational and accounting data across upstream and downstream platforms.
  • Develop integration solutions connecting Workday with treasury management systems, investment accounting and subledger platforms, payroll providers, banking platforms, data warehouses, reporting and analytics tools, and other enterprise applications.
  • Establish technical standards covering error handling, reconciliation, XSLT/XML transformation, integration security, authentication, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Build trusted relationships with client project teams, CTO organizations, enterprise architects, security teams, and third-party vendors, communicating architecture decisions, risks, and technical trade-offs clearly.
  • Produce and maintain technical design documentation, interface specifications, architecture diagrams, data mappings, security requirements, deployment plans, and support materials.
  • Stay current with Workday capabilities, integration technologies, AI-enabled delivery approaches, and financial services technology trends while mentoring technical resources and bringing forward practical innovations.
Requirements:
  • Bring 5+ years of technical Workday implementation experience, including leadership of technical workstreams and responsibility for complex delivery.
  • Demonstrate advanced hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration security.
  • Possess strong capabilities in XSLT, XML, APIs, error handling, reconciliation, data transformation, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Have proven experience creating technical architecture diagrams, integration specifications, interface inventories, and end-to-end data flows.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with integrating Workday with financial services platforms such as investment subledgers, treasury systems, payroll providers, banking platforms, data warehouses, and reporting tools.
  • Hold active Workday certifications in Creating and Securing Integrations, Workday Studio, and Workday Reporting.
  • Workday Extend certification or substantive experience delivering Workday Extend projects is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrate strong client-facing communication, technical leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to explain complex architecture decisions and trade-offs clearly.
  • Be comfortable working across the full transformation lifecycle, balancing hands-on technical execution with architecture leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
Benefits:
  • Estimated base salary range of $130,000–$160,000 USD, with compensation determined by factors including skills, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
  • Eligibility for a variable bonus in addition to base salary.
  • 25 days of annual holiday in addition to public holidays.
  • Supplemented medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a schedule designed to support work-life balance.
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities, including unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning.
  • Wellness initiatives and an allowance for remote-working technology.
  • Community events, social activities, and professional meetups.
  • Access to discounted travel, tickets, events, and other offers through a benefits partner.
  • Primarily remote work within the United States, with occasional travel to client sites and offices based on project requirements, key implementation milestones, and team collaboration.
  • Exposure to Workday Financials, complex enterprise integrations, financial services technology, and transformation programs across the alternative investment industry.
