About Rhino ContainerAt Rhino Container, we deliver packaging solutions that help businesses succeed. We're looking for a safety-focused, customer-oriented CDL Class A Driver to join our team and ensure timely, accurate deliveries while representing Rhino Container with professionalism.
Position SummaryThe CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering products to customers, unloading shipments, maintaining DOT compliance, and providing excellent customer service throughout the delivery process. This role may also assist with backhaul pickups and other transportation-related duties as needed.
What You'll Do- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customers on assigned routes
- Load and unload product using pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and delivery ramps
- Verify deliveries, collect customer signatures, and resolve delivery discrepancies
- Pick up backhaul shipments from suppliers and return materials to the warehouse
- Complete all required DOT logs, DVIRs, and delivery documentation
- Adhere to company safety standards, DOT regulations, and Hours of Service requirements
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude during all deliveries
- Participate in required company meetings and training programs
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of Class A commercial driving experience
- Doubles endorsement
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and required DOT qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience delivering products to commercial customers
Qualified candidates must meet company and insurance driving standards, including:
- No DUI convictions within the past 3 years
- No driver's license suspension within the past 3 years
- No termination by a previous employer due to safety violations or preventable accidents within the past 3 years
- No more than two moving violations within the past 2 years
This position requires the ability to:
- Frequently sit, drive, walk, stand, push, and pull
- Lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Occasionally lift items weighing up to 100 pounds
- Climb in and out of trucks and trailers throughout the day
- Work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and other delivery equipment
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday; however, flexibility is required to support business needs. Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight routes, and emergency response may be required.
CompensationThe anticipated pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
