Job Description

Head of Growth

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Growth based in United States.

This is a high-ownership growth leadership role focused on making an AI-native customer experience platform a recognized category leader. You will shape how the product is positioned, discovered, discussed, and ultimately selected by buyers across DTC, ecommerce, CX, and emerging markets. The role blends brand building, product marketing, demand generation, channel development, and new-market expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with customers, prospects, partners, sales, and product teams to turn market insights into compelling growth strategies. You’ll be expected to research, write, experiment, and execute rather than simply manage agencies or large teams. With significant autonomy, budget, and direct access to leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to build repeatable growth engines and open entirely new verticals.

Accountabilities
  • Own the growth and market positioning strategy, defining how the product is understood, discovered, discussed, and chosen across target audiences.
  • Build a distinctive brand presence through the website, sales materials, events, customer stories, research, social content, and industry conversations.
  • Develop and execute a strong presence on X across DTC, ecommerce, customer experience, and AI communities, creating a repeatable publishing and engagement system.
  • Conduct customer, prospect, partner, and lost-deal interviews to uncover buyer needs, objections, positioning opportunities, and market trends.
  • Test messaging, positioning, offers, and narratives directly with buyers and use evidence to refine the go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop competitive positioning, sales narratives, launch plans, and battlecards to help sales teams compete effectively against established and emerging competitors.
  • Build and diversify acquisition channels including PPC, AEO, content, events, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish a clear thesis, budget, and measurable success criteria for each growth channel, scaling successful initiatives and quickly discontinuing underperforming experiments.
  • Identify promising new markets, industries, and verticals where the product can solve urgent and valuable customer experience challenges.
  • Develop new verticals from initial research through repeatable go-to-market motions, defining ICPs, buying triggers, objections, messaging, proof points, channels, and sales plays.
  • Help expand beyond the existing DTC customer base while protecting and strengthening the growth engines that already perform well.
  • Work directly with the CEO, customers, sales, and product teams to make high-quality decisions in an environment with incomplete information and limited bureaucracy.
  • Establish measurable growth milestones, including new-channel pipeline generation and validated opportunities in emerging verticals.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B SaaS growth, product marketing, brand marketing, category creation, or closely related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience opening a new market, geography, customer segment, or vertical from the ground up.
  • Proven ability to connect marketing and brand initiatives to buyer behavior, qualified pipeline, and business results rather than relying primarily on engagement or impression metrics.
  • Strong understanding of both brand and demand generation, with the ability to integrate the two into a unified growth strategy.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to create compelling narratives and build meaningful engagement on X.
  • Practical experience with PPC, AEO, content marketing, events, referrals, partnerships, and other growth channels.
  • Experience developing positioning, launch strategies, sales narratives, competitive battlecards, and go-to-market plans.
  • Strong customer research skills, with a willingness to conduct interviews, participate in sales conversations, investigate lost opportunities, and gather firsthand market intelligence.
  • Ability to operate autonomously with founders and senior leaders, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Comfortable using AI tools daily for research, drafting, analysis, experimentation, and productivity.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with a willingness to write, research, test, and execute rather than primarily manage others.
  • Ecommerce, DTC, customer experience, or enterprise AI experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and growth experiments are expected to move quickly.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $190,000–$225,000 annually.
  • Performance bonus: 20% target bonus, bringing total target cash compensation to approximately $228,000–$270,000.
  • Equity: 0.5%–1% equity grant, vesting over four years.
  • Paid time off: 25 paid days off annually.
  • Learning and development allowance.
  • Annual company offsite and quarterly team gatherings.
  • Remote position based in the United States.
  • Direct access to the CEO, customers, product leadership, and sales organization.
  • Dedicated budget for research, content, events, and growth-channel experimentation.
  • Significant ownership over brand strategy, the growth portfolio, and expansion into new markets.
  • Opportunity to work within a profitable, rapidly growing organization with an established customer base and substantial market traction.
  • Small, highly autonomous team with minimal bureaucracy between ideas, experiments, and execution.
