Wichita Tribal Enterprises, LLC, a Quivera Enterprises company, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Administrator. This role requires a security professional with strong integrity and the ability to manage multiple projects while aligning technical solutions with business needs. The position focuses on assessing and hardening operating systems, applications, and services, as well as administering key security technologies including NIDS/NIPS, HIDS/HIPS, NAC systems, and SIEM platforms like Splunk. Responsibilities include developing and tuning security content, automating processes through scripting, integrating new systems with engineering teams, and optimizing IDS and SIEM performance. The role also encompasses deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting cyber defense systems across servers, network components, workstations, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience assessing and hardening security configurations for operating systems, applications and services
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands
  • Strong sense of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Ability to combine technical skills with an understanding of business needs to successfully protect assets
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Administration of Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (NIDS & NIPS)
  • Administration of Network Access Control (NAC) Systems such as ForeScout CounterAct
  • Administration of Host Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (HIDS & HIPS)
  • Administration of/and deployment of Security Information Event Management System (SIEM), such as Splunk
  • IDS, IPS, SIEM content management, policy tuning and signature development
  • Ad-hoc scripting supporting process automation and data analysis
  • New system integration and coordination with engineering
  • Resource utilization analysis and performance tuning of IDS & SIEM servers & applications
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Experience in the deployment, operation, maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting/repair of cyber defense systems to include but not limited to: network components, servers, analyst workstations, CND associated hardware and software

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Tier 2, Public Trust background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DOI
  • Knowledge of FIPS and NIST compliance and regulations.

Education Requirements

  • 7+ years of broad work experience including administration, engineering, and security.
  • 5+ years of experience in security technology administration

Certifications required within the first year of employment (at least one).

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)
  • Security+
  • MCSE or equivalent
  • Linux

This role is primarily office-based and requires prolonged computer use, including sitting, typing, and operating standard office equipment. Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching may be required to support equipment setup and troubleshooting. The employee must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting.

The employee must be able to communicate effectively and maintain visual acuity (close, distance, color, and depth perception). Occasional travel and extended hours may be required to support operational needs and deadlines.
