Looking for energetic people who want to have a career working in our plant! Looking for an experienced Kettle Operator with reactor experience preferred.
Guaranteed annual pay increases; as Pilot Plant Operator you will start at $26.43 per hour, plus shift differential 3.5% on base rate for any hours worked. Increase to $30.33 hr. after 1 year and $34.71 hr. after 2 years with our tier system.
Midnight shift position, Monday-Friday 11:45pm-7:45am (Monday shift starts 11:45pm Sunday evening)

- To operate, under the supervision of members of the research staff, such as the mechanical equipment as shall be necessary for the production of resin on the pilot plant scale and/or the production from resins of articles for physical testing. This includes such duties as: obtaining raw materials for kettle batches, charging, operating and cleaning the kettle(s). This includes the Brighton Kettle.
- Carry out physical and chemical control tests on resins from plant production and/or experimental batches. Keep records of test results, file away the samples.
- At any time. When there is no work such a s outlined above, the Pilot Plant Operator may be assigned to duties as outlined under Laboratory Technician.
- During the course of job duties, must be able to prevent/contain chemical spills in order to ensure employee safety and protection of the environment.
- Perform any and all supplemental duties involving the use of common skills while performing normal job functions.
- Operate forklift as instructed by supervision or as required to perform his/her job duties.
Qualification:
Must be physically able to perform job duties as specified above. Must climb stairs and ladders, use hand tools & jackhammer, shovel, push & pull various non-powered material handling equipment, operate valves, and operate forklift in a safe manner.
Prior Kettle operation experience required
Reactor experience preferred
Ability to arrive on time and work scheduled shifts
Basic math skills
Ability to follow written and verbal direction
Attention to detail
Ability to life up to 50 lbs.
Details:
Full-time, Midnight shift position, Monday-Friday 11:45pm-7:45am (Monday shift starts 11:45pm Sunday evening). 40 hours per week (Some Overtime time and one-half plus +3.5% shift diff. on base rate). Benefits start at 30 days. 401K starts at 90 days.
