This role is responsible for building and expanding a high-impact commercial presence within an assigned geographic market.
You will act as a market-facing leader, developing strong relationships with employers, brokers, consultants, and strategic referral partners.
The position combines market strategy, consultative selling, pipeline development, and new business generation.
You will identify emerging opportunities, monitor competitive trends, and translate market insights into measurable growth plans.
Success requires close collaboration with sales, product, implementation, client success, and operations teams.
You will also represent the organization at industry events and strengthen its reputation within the regional healthcare and benefits community.

- Serve as the commercial leader and primary market ambassador for the assigned geography, developing and executing a comprehensive market growth strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build market awareness and establish a strong presence within the regional healthcare, employee benefits, and consulting communities.
- Develop annual market business plans with clear, measurable growth objectives and actionable strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, industry developments, and emerging opportunities to identify areas for expansion.
- Generate consistent net-new revenue through strategic engagement with employers, brokers, consultants, and other referral partners.
- Develop and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with regional consulting firms and brokerage organizations that influence employer purchasing decisions.
- Create strategic account plans for priority consulting firms and position the organization as a preferred third-party administrator (TPA) partner.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and regional leadership forums to strengthen market influence and relationships.
- Maintain strong sales execution and operational discipline through accurate pipeline management, forecasting, executive opportunity reviews, and CRM practices.
- Coordinate closely with Implementation, Client Success, Product, Operations, National Account Executives, Strategic Sales Associates, and Channel Sales teams to support successful opportunities and long-term growth.
- 10+ years of successful sales experience within healthcare, employee benefits, third-party administration, or closely related industries.
- Demonstrated success selling complex, self-funded healthcare solutions in consultative sales environments.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales objectives and generating profitable new business.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare benefits landscape, employer purchasing processes, and consultant- and broker-influenced sales cycles.
- Ability to develop and execute market strategies, business plans, account plans, and sustainable pipeline-generation initiatives.
- Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities, particularly with employers, consultants, brokerage firms, and other industry stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial judgment with the ability to identify market opportunities, understand competitive dynamics, and translate insights into action.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated discipline around CRM management, forecasting, opportunity reviews, and sales processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, product, operations, implementation, and client success teams.
- Comfortable representing an organization externally at industry events, conferences, and market leadership forums.
- Competitive base salary of $140,000–$175,000, depending on location, skills, and experience.
