Job Description

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) based in United States.

Lead the marketing function for a high-growth B2B SaaS business entering its next stage of scale. In this builder role, you will own marketing strategy and execution end to end, with a strong focus on pipeline creation, demand generation, and company-wide go-to-market strategy. You will shape how an emerging marketing technology category is defined and positioned for enterprise customers in the AI era. Working closely with Sales, Product, Customer teams, and product marketing leadership, you will connect brand, demand, and revenue into a cohesive growth engine. You will build a high-performing marketing organization while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial marketing leader to make a significant impact in a remote-friendly environment across the United States and Canada.

Accountabilities:
  • Own marketing strategy and execution end to end, aligning the function with company growth objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Build and scale a high-performing marketing organization designed to support the next stage of business growth.
  • Lead pipeline creation and demand generation with clear accountability for pipeline contribution and revenue.
  • Develop, test, and scale enterprise demand generation programs across digital channels, field marketing, events, partnerships, and other relevant channels.
  • Shape company-level go-to-market strategy in close partnership with Sales, Product, Customer teams, and product marketing leadership.
  • Build and strengthen the company’s brand, developing creative and resourceful approaches to increase market awareness without relying on excessive budgets.
  • Establish positioning and messaging that clearly communicates value to enterprise marketing audiences and supports category creation.
  • Operate effectively in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change, making informed decisions, experimenting quickly, and adapting based on results.
  • Move seamlessly between strategic and tactical priorities, from company strategy and executive communication to campaigns, launches, product details, and funnel performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing marketing talent while raising performance standards and making thoughtful people decisions.
  • Establish agentic marketing production as a meaningful emerging category for enterprise marketing teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure marketing strategy, brand, product positioning, sales execution, and customer needs remain aligned.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior B2B SaaS marketing leader who has helped scale a company through a significant high-growth stage, ideally from approximately $20M toward $100M+ ARR.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth efficiently, with strong accountability for pipeline, revenue, and return on marketing investment.
  • Deep, hands-on experience building enterprise demand generation programs across digital, field and events, partnerships, and other channels.
  • Strong track record of building and scaling marketing organizations and recruiting high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a builder in fast-moving environments where processes and strategies are still being established.
  • Ability to move comfortably between high-level company strategy, positioning, and executive communication and hands-on work across campaigns, launches, product details, and funnel performance.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and commercial judgment, with the ability to make decisions using imperfect information.
  • Excellent brand and creative instincts, combined with the resourcefulness to develop unconventional approaches to market growth.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and relationship-building skills, particularly with Sales, Product, Customer, and product marketing teams.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, rapid change, experimentation, and evolving business priorities.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex strategies into clear direction and action.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership, and willingness to remain hands-on while building a scalable marketing function.

Benefits:

  • Remote-friendly position open to talent across the United States and Canada.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Equity participation in the company.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Paid vacation.
  • Life leave days to support personal and life events.
  • Team lunches and off-site events.
  • Strong commitment to career development and professional growth.
  • Collaborative, high-performance work environment focused on culture, customers, product, and growth.
  • Opportunity to help define and establish an emerging category within enterprise marketing.
  • Opportunity to work with innovative organizations and shape the future of AI-enabled marketing production.
  • Inclusive and barrier-free working environment with accommodations available throughout the interview process.
