Job Description

Multi-State Traveling Renovation Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Traveling Renovation Technicians to support multifamily renovation and remodeling projects across multiple markets. Renovation Technicians are skilled, versatile tradespeople who can perform a variety of construction and renovation tasks while maintaining high-quality workmanship and production standards.
The ideal candidate brings a strong, well-rounded mix of hands-on construction skills, including cabinet installation, painting, trim carpentry, drywall/patching, and basic plumbing and electrical work. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys variety and can confidently move between different renovation tasks as project needs change.
The Traveling Renovation Technician will work under the direction of the Foreman and/or Superintendent and will be responsible for completing assigned work safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform a variety of renovation and remodeling tasks within multifamily
apartment units and common areas.
• Install and replace kitchen and bathroom cabinets, hardware, shelving, and
related components.
• Perform interior and exterior painting, including preparation, priming, rolling,
brushing, and touch-up work.
• Complete trim carpentry, including installation and repair of baseboards, door
trim, window trim, crown molding, and other finish materials.
• Perform drywall repairs, patching, caulking, texturing, and other surface
preparation as needed.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and installation, including faucets, toilets, sinks,
supply lines, drains, and other fixtures.
• Perform basic electrical work such as replacing switches, receptacles, light
fixtures, and other minor electrical components within the scope of applicable
laws and company requirements.
• Install doors, hardware, shelving, flooring, and other renovation materials as
assigned.
• Assist with demolition, removal, and preparation of existing materials for
renovation.
• Perform apartment turns, punch-list work, and final completion work.
• Identify deficiencies or additional repair needs and communicate them to the
Foreman or Superintendent.
• Read and follow work orders, plans, specifications, and project instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.
• Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, equipment, and company-
provided materials.
• Coordinate work with other trades and team members to maintain project
schedules.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Complete assigned work within established production schedules and quality
standards.
• Travel to multifamily renovation projects and remain on assignment for the
duration of the project as required.
• Perform other renovation and construction duties as assigned by the Foreman
or Superintendent.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on construction, renovation, remodeling, or skilled trades
experience preferred.
• Multifamily renovation or apartment renovation experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple construction trades, including:
o Cabinet installation
o Painting
o Trim/finish carpentry
o Drywall repair and finishing
o Basic plumbing
o Basic electrical
• Ability to confidently perform a variety of renovation tasks with minimal
supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow direction from a Foreman or Superintendent and work effectively
as part of a construction team.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions within the
scope of the work.
• Ability to safely and properly operate common hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project locations.
• Ability to work varying schedules based on project requirements.

Travel Requirements
This is a traveling position supporting multifamily renovation projects in multiple markets.
Technicians should be prepared to travel and work away from home for extended project assignments. Travel arrangements, lodging, and applicable per diem will be provided in accordance with company policy.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and climb ladders for extended
periods.
• Ability to work in occupied and unoccupied apartment units, mechanical areas
, and construction environments.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction
equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction and renovation work
throughout the workday.

General Conditions and Duties:
• Other duties as assigned. Some tasks may involve frequent bending, moving,
lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds; some positions may
involve moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 70 pounds;
standing up to eight hours each day; working in all weather conditions;
exposure to high noise levels and require wearing hearing protection. The
Construction Estimator may be required to travel occasionally and visit local and
out-of-town job sites. The ability to drive & fly is required.
