This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape and produce high-quality digital media content for investors, advisors, and broader audiences.
You’ll contribute to daily live webcasts, podcasts, and videos, with a particular focus on expanding French-language content for audiences in Quebec.
The position combines creative content development, financial research, scriptwriting, live production, guest management, and post-production oversight.
You’ll work closely with hosts, financial experts, internal teams, and external guests to turn relevant market and business topics into engaging content.
The role also offers a chance to contribute to long-term content strategy and identify new opportunities based on audience needs and organizational priorities.
You’ll operate in a collaborative digital media environment while taking ownership of projects and leading key aspects of production.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced bilingual producer with a strong understanding of financial markets and a passion for compelling, broadcast-quality content.
- Content development and pre-production: Develop concepts for French-language webcasts and videos, research topics and guests, coordinate pre-production activities, conduct preparation calls and interviews, write scripts and promotional copy, and ensure content follows established production best practices.
- Live webcast and video production: Plan and execute high-quality live webcasts in collaboration with the digital media team, oversee production responsibilities, prepare host scripts, direct remote guests, and coordinate participants throughout the broadcast.
- Content strategy: Develop and implement initiatives designed to expand French-language content, identifying emerging audience segments, relevant topics, and external guest opportunities while aligning content plans with organizational objectives and audience demand.
- Production leadership: Take ownership of assigned productions from initial concept through completion, working independently while also providing leadership and direction to colleagues and production contributors.
- Post-production: Direct and supervise video editing and post-production activities to ensure the final content meets quality and engagement standards.
- Stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with hosts, internal subject-matter experts, portfolio managers, thought leaders, external guests, and the broader digital media team.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Generate and refine content ideas through collaboration with sales, product, marketing, investment management, and other relevant teams.
- Technical production support: Contribute to video production and digital event activities, applying knowledge of studio equipment, video workflows, webcasting, and related technologies as needed.
- Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience producing business or financial news content, preferably within a live television environment or comparable newsroom setting.
- Financial knowledge: Strong understanding of global financial markets, with experience or knowledge of financial services considered an asset.
- Production expertise: Demonstrated experience in video, webcast, or podcast production, including content development, scriptwriting, interview preparation, talent management, directing, and post-production.
- Bilingual communication: Advanced written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to review and produce content in both official languages.
- Writing skills: Excellent scriptwriting and content development abilities, including the preparation of interview guides, host scripts, promotional copy, and other editorial materials.
- Industry background: Previous freelance or full-time experience in business or financial news; experience in public affairs, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field is an asset.
- Technical knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of digital camera systems, studio equipment, lighting, audio capture, video capture, advanced shot setup, troubleshooting, and video production workflows.
- Digital production tools: Familiarity with webcast and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, including understanding of video and audio signal flows across studio, home-office, and conference-room environments.
- Digital awareness: Understanding of digital technologies, emerging trends, and evolving methods for distributing and promoting content.
- On-camera experience: Previous experience presenting or appearing on camera is considered an asset.
- Project management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple production activities and deadlines effectively.
- Collaboration: Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative, engaging, and fast-paced work environment while also working independently.
- Education: University degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Work authorization: Authorization to work in Canada is required.
- Flexible working arrangements: Options for 100% remote, hybrid, or office-based work, depending on the applicable arrangement.
- Competitive compensation: Total annual cash compensation ranging from $99,000 to $135,000, including base salary and target discretionary performance bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.
