Just in Time for Foster Youth (JIT) is looking for a Development Administrative Associate to provide essential administrative and operational support to our Development team. From maintaining accurate donor records to coordinating acknowledgments, events, and campaigns, you’ll help create the strong systems and thoughtful experiences that keep our community connected to JIT’s mission.
Full-Time, Non-Exempt | $25–$30/hour
What You’ll Do- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor, volunteer, and organizational records in our CRM.
- Process financial contributions, in-kind donations, and pledges with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare donor acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and other stewardship communications.
- Generate reports to track fundraising progress, donor retention, and campaign performance.
- Partner with Accounting to reconcile fundraising and financial data.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, briefing materials, and follow-up tasks.
- Support fundraising events and donor gatherings, including RSVPs, materials, and post-event data entry.
- Assist with direct mail, digital campaigns, and quarterly and annual engagement efforts.
- Help improve administrative workflows and document processes and procedures.
- Support platforms and tools such as CRM systems, Instrumentl, Mighty Networks, email marketing, and event management platforms.
- 1–3 years of experience in administrative, data entry, operations, fundraising, or development support.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Experience with CRM platforms; Salesforce or Bloomerang experience is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills, particularly Excel/Sheets and Word/Docs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-moving environment.
- A warm, professional approach to communicating with donors, community members, and colleagues.
- A process-improvement mindset and comfort learning new technology.

The pay range for this role is:
25 - 30 USD per hour(San Diego, California)
