Summary

Prepares bread, rolls, muffins, bagels, etc according to recipe by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Checks production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
• Measures and mixes ingredients to form dough or batter by hand or using electric mixer.
• Cuts dough into uniform portions with knife or divider.
• Molds dough into loaves or desired shapes.
• Places pans of dough to rise.
• Inserts pans of raised dough in oven to bake.
• Bakes items according to company recipes.
• Adjusts drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature.
• Removes baked goods from oven and places goods on cooling rack.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean at all times.
• Works closely with the Director of the Bakery and the bakery staff to ensure the best quality products for guest satisfaction.
• Helps bring new and innovative ideas to the attention of management to help the bakery grow and succeed.
