This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, Energy Storage Advisory based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex advisory projects at the intersection of renewable energy, energy storage, and infrastructure.
You will oversee Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory engagements supporting financing, acquisitions, and project development.
As a senior client-facing leader, you will guide multidisciplinary teams while managing technical, commercial, financial, and contractual outcomes.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard.
The position also combines project delivery with business development, allowing you to shape proposals, strengthen client relationships, and identify growth opportunities.
You will work in a collaborative, technically sophisticated environment focused on accelerating the energy transition.
The role can be performed remotely across the U.S., with hybrid options available in select locations and occasional travel required.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory projects supporting financing, acquisition, and development of energy storage and solar-plus-storage portfolios.
  • Serve as the primary client interface, establishing trusted relationships, managing expectations, communicating progress, and identifying opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling.
  • Own project execution across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk, developing execution plans and proactively managing variances, issues, and change orders.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineering, financial, environmental, and other technical specialists, ensuring alignment, consistency, quality, and adherence to project objectives.
  • Provide high-level technical direction and oversight, helping teams develop sound analyses and conclusions while maintaining a clear focus on client requirements and project outcomes.
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, invoicing, margin tracking, and compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.
  • Support business development through proposal development, pricing, scope definition, client presentations, and strategic pursuit activities.
  • Strengthen client and industry relationships through proactive engagement, project reviews, follow-up, conferences, and relevant business development events.
  • Facilitate project close-out activities, including lessons learned, client debriefs, and recommendations for improving internal processes and future project delivery.
  • Mentor junior team members in project management practices while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the advisory business at conferences, client meetings, and other industry events.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and business development of the energy storage due diligence and advisory practice.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline such as electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
  • At least 4 years of project management experience within a professional or technical services environment, ideally involving renewable energy, energy storage, grid infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Proven client-facing experience, including project delivery, proposal development, contract discussions, and relationship management.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, margins, and profitability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and complex subjects clearly to technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Strong project management fundamentals, including the ability to manage scope, schedules, resources, risks, quality, and client expectations.
  • Demonstrated business development mindset and willingness to operate as a “seller-doer,” contributing to both project delivery and revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with sound business judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage ambiguity, and make decisions in a fast-paced advisory environment.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, client engagements, and project requirements, generally less than 10%.
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States, with hybrid opportunities available in select locations.
Benefits:
  • Salary: Estimated base salary range of $95,000–$115,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
  • Annual bonus: Eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of base salary.
  • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Wellness: Mental health and financial wellness benefits.
  • Retirement: 401(k) retirement savings benefits.
  • Paid time off: 15 vacation days, 12 paid holidays including floating holidays, and 72 hours of sick time.
  • Work flexibility: Remote work available across the United States, with hybrid options in select locations.
  • Professional growth: Opportunities to work alongside multidisciplinary experts and contribute to innovative projects supporting renewable energy and the broader energy transition.
  • Travel and industry exposure: Opportunities to participate in conferences, client engagements, and industry events.
  • Meaningful impact: Work on projects that support the development, financing, and deployment of energy storage and renewable energy infrastructure.
