Job Description

IT Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Specialist based in Canada.

This role combines IT support, data quality, analytics, and process improvement to strengthen the reliability of business operations.
You will help identify system issues, investigate data inconsistencies, and uncover process dependencies that affect business performance.
The position offers hands-on exposure to a broad ecosystem of business applications, automation tools, security systems, and collaboration platforms.
You will work closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to diagnose problems and improve operational workflows.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail will be essential for protecting data integrity and turning complex issues into actionable solutions.

Accountabilities
  • Support the integrity, reliability, and quality of business data by identifying inconsistencies, investigating root causes, and highlighting process issues that affect critical data points.
  • Analyze complex system dependencies and workflows to identify breakdowns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide IT support and troubleshooting across organizational software, hardware, applications, and business systems.
  • Work with data analytics and visualization tools to investigate operational trends and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support and maintain a broad range of business applications, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Airtable, Jotform, HubSpot, Asana, Monday.com, Zapier, Slack, and related platforms.
  • Assist with website and CMS management, including WordPress and related digital tools.
  • Support basic API integrations and automation initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency and data flow.
  • Help maintain and strengthen security systems and practices, including antivirus solutions, firewalls, password-management tools, and two-factor authentication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams to understand business needs, resolve technical issues, and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, data integrity, and overall technology effectiveness.
  • Maintain a high standard of organization, documentation, communication, and quality while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in an IT Help Desk or similar IT support role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Operations Management, Data Science, or another quantitative or technology-related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to understand complex relationships between systems, processes, and data.
  • Experience with data analytics and business applications such as Jotform, Airtable, Zapier, HubSpot, Asana, and Google Workspace.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and a variety of general and specialized software and hardware.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, as well as Monday.com and basic API integrations, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of computer security systems, including antivirus, firewalls, two-factor authentication, and password-management solutions.
  • Familiarity with tools such as 1Password, Amazon Seller Central, Helium 10, Slack, Time Doctor, and similar business applications is beneficial.
  • Database management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, CSS, or HTML is a plus but not required.
  • Experience managing websites and familiarity with online marketing or marketing communications are advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong listening and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with distributed, cross-cultural teams.
  • Naturally technology-oriented, creative, and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications, software, hardware, and technology platforms.

Technical Setup Requirements:

  • Computer with a dual-monitor setup.
  • Computer with at least 8 GB of RAM.
  • Internet connection with at least 25 Mbps speed.
  • Camera with at least 1080p resolution.
