Job Description

Technical Setup Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Setup Specialist based in United States.

As a Technical Setup Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in helping new customers successfully launch on a B2B SaaS platform.
You’ll own the technical onboarding journey from the initial kickoff through configuration, integration, testing, and go-live.
Working directly with customers and cross-functional partners, you’ll connect dealership management and scheduling systems and resolve setup issues.
You’ll manage multiple implementations simultaneously while keeping timelines, deliverables, and next steps clear and organized.
The role combines customer communication, technical troubleshooting, system configuration, and project coordination.
You’ll also help strengthen internal processes by documenting procedures and contributing to scalable knowledge resources.
It’s an opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while developing your technical and implementation expertise.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary initial point of contact for new customers throughout the technical implementation and setup phase.
  • Lead customer kickoff calls, establish implementation timelines, communicate requirements, and manage follow-ups through completion.
  • Configure and connect customer dealership management systems (DMS) and scheduling tool integrations, ensuring accurate technical setup.
  • Troubleshoot initial scheduling and integration issues, identify configuration gaps, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Update customer configurations and process historical data through the platform’s backend systems.
  • Schedule test appointments and conduct pre-launch checks to verify that integrations and configurations are working correctly.
  • Launch customer locations so outreach and operational workflows can begin successfully.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding timelines, deliverables, outstanding requirements, and next steps.
  • Document technical setup procedures, workflows, and solutions to strengthen internal knowledge bases and implementation playbooks.
  • Provide Customer Success with a comprehensive configuration summary and ensure a smooth, well-documented handoff following implementation.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in technical onboarding, software implementation, project management, IT support, or a related technical customer-facing role, preferably within SaaS or automotive technology.
  • Strong understanding of software configuration, APIs, integrations, and technical workflows.
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS), automotive CRM platforms, or related dealership technology is a strong advantage.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage several customer setups and competing deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is a plus.
  • Ability to take ownership of implementation projects while collaborating effectively with Customer Success, Sales, vendors, and customers.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based U.S. visa sponsorship is not provided.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary of $65,000–$70,000.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Equity benefits.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Supportive, collaborative, and creative team environment.
  • Remote work within the United States.
  • Opportunities to contribute to processes, planning, decision-making, and company culture.
