Job Description

EveryAge is a leader among not-for-profit senior living organizations with programs that include four Continuing Care Retirement Communities, seven senior Affordable Housing communities, two PACE programs, and Medicare-certified home health and hospice services with locations across North Carolina and in Southeastern Virginia.

We are excited to share a great opportunity for an energetic, sales-minded, people-focused leader to join our 55+ lifestyle apartment community, BellaAge Hickory, in downtown Hickory, North Carolina. The community is open, active, and doing well, and now we are looking for a leader who can accelerate momentum, grow qualified interest, and help reach full occupancy by welcoming more residents home.

The Community Director position is based in beautiful downtown Hickory, NC, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and approximately one hour from the Charlotte airport. This upscale location offers walkable access to local amenities, restaurants, shops, and community events, giving residents a front-row seat to the energy and charm of downtown living.

Primary Focus: Marketing, Leasing and Occupancy Growth

The Community Director will lead the daily rhythm of the community while placing strong emphasis on marketing, apartment leasing, and occupancy growth. This person will be expected to create excitement around BellaAge Hickory, convert interest into move-ins, and personally help drive the leasing process from first contact through tour, follow-up, application, and move-in.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead marketing and leasing efforts to help the community reach and maintain full occupancy.

· Oversee all aspects of community operations as well as supervision of team members.

· Place proactive outbound calls to prospective residents, referral sources, community partners, and other qualified leads.

· Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from prospective residents and families, providing clear information and thoughtful follow-up.

· Conduct engaging community tours that showcase the lifestyle, amenities, downtown location, and value of BellaAge Hickory.

· Plan and host outreach, resident, prospect, and community events that generate interest, build relationships, and strengthen the sales pipeline.

· Track leads, follow-up activities, tours, applications, and move-ins to ensure strong accountability and consistent progress toward occupancy goals.

· Build and maintain local partnerships with organizations, businesses, referral sources, and downtown community groups to increase visibility.

· Support smooth daily operations, resident engagement, communication, and a welcoming community experience.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships in the community, following up with prospective residents, and turning interest into move-ins. We need someone who is comfortable initiating contact, asking thoughtful questions, overcoming hesitation, and helping prospective residents see themselves living well at BellaAge Hickory.

From outbound calls and inquiry response to tours, local partnerships, resident programs, downtown activities, and community events, this person will bring creativity, discipline, follow-through, and positive energy to help the community continue to thrive and showcase just how much this location has to offer.

The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, self-motivated leader who has:

· A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Services or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a related field.

· Prior experience in senior living and/or apartment community management is preferred.

· Demonstrated experience in real estate marketing, apartment leasing, occupancy growth, sales follow-up, and/or property management is strongly preferred.

· Comfort making outbound calls, responding to inquiries, conducting tours, planning events, and maintaining consistent follow-up with prospects.

· Experience working with older adults preferred.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

The hiring range for this position is $75-80K/annually plus an excellent benefits program including a retirement plan. More information about our organization and the rewarding work we do can be found at: www.everyage.org and www.BellaAge.org.
