POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Host, you will be responsible for exceeding the customer expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt, and attentive service that is tailored to the customer’s preference. A Host will be required to greet incoming and departing guest in a welcoming manner. Seat the guest in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Welcoming and thanking guestsAnswering questions - accurately and politelyMaintaining a clean and organized waiting areaAnswering the phoneDirecting guests to areas of the hotelAssisting servers, bussers and managersPerforming opening, closing & side dutiesAssuring the complete satisfaction of each and every guestCreating memorable experiencesPerforms other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-pacedDemonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency.Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers.Must be eligible to work in the United States.Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Good knowledge of the English language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak, read and write clearly. Must be able to read and listen to instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages.

PHYSICAL ABILITY:

Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 35 lbs. as neededContinuous use of hands and armsContinuous bending, reaching, and twistingMaintains strong personal image and uniform standards
