3Cloud is seeking a Senior Consultant – Quality Engineering to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-impact quality engineering solutions across client engagements. In this role, you will operate in a highly collaborative, client-facing environment where engineering excellence and business outcomes go hand in hand. You will define and execute test strategies, build robust automation frameworks, and ensure quality is embedded across the full delivery lifecycle. The position combines hands-on technical delivery with advisory responsibilities, including mentoring team members and guiding QE best practices. You will work closely with engineering and product stakeholders to improve release confidence through CI/CD integration and automation-first approaches. This role offers exposure to modern Azure-based ecosystems, cutting-edge tooling, and complex enterprise environments where your work directly improves reliability, performance, and user experience.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead discovery and requirements analysis to translate business objectives into clear, testable acceptance criteria and a structured QE approach aligned with delivery goals.
  • Design and implement end-to-end quality engineering strategies across functional and non-functional areas, including performance, security, reliability, and data quality.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (UI, API, and data layers) with a focus on reusability, maintainability, and coverage.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, establishing quality gates and improving release confidence through continuous validation.
  • Own QE planning and execution for assigned workstreams, including estimation, coordination, dependency management, and delivery tracking.
  • Drive defect management, test reporting, and quality dashboards to ensure transparency, early risk identification, and data-driven decisions.
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, facilitating QA best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement across engagements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or test automation, including strong hands-on technical expertise.
  • Proven consulting or client-facing experience with the ability to translate business needs into technical quality solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or similar, with experience writing maintainable automated test code.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect lifecycle management, and quality reporting.
  • Experience with API testing, CI/CD integration, and Agile delivery environments.
  • Performance and load testing experience using tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or Azure Load Testing.
  • Experience with data quality testing (ETL/ELT, analytics validation), with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric being a plus.
  • Exposure to AI/ML/LLM testing or AI-assisted QA approaches is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others and lead through technical influence.
  • Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.
  • Must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range: $103,100 – $154,700 USD, with eligibility for annual discretionary/utilization bonus.
  • Flexible, virtual-first work environment with remote work options.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match up to 50% of 6% contributions.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage options including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • 100% employer-paid life insurance and disability coverage.
  • Generous PTO (minimum 15 days) plus 9 paid holidays and 2 floating personal days.
  • Paid parental leave for both birth and non-birth parents.
  • Healthcare, dependent care, and HSA/FSA account options.
  • Monthly tech and home office stipend ($67).
  • Employee Assistance Program supporting personal and professional well-being.
