Job Description
Job Title: Purchasing Agent
Reports To: Raw Good Purchasing Administrator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly
Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of raw good materials by performing the following duties:
Other duties may be assigned.
- Order/maintain inventory for ABS, PSR, and PSVB via the RGIM.
- Enter purchase orders for ABS, PSR, and PSVB inventories via the RGIM.
- Monitor all bulk tank inventories and order ABS, PSR, and PSVB Via Bulk Tank Reports or RGIM.
- Read ALL confirmations and record indicated changes as required for ABS, PSR, and PSVB.
- Enter price changes for ABS, PSR, and PSVB.
- Release Truck Trips for ABS, PSR, and PSVB.
- Monitor tank appointments for ABS, PSR, and PSVB.
- Receive trucks/POs/monitor receiving report for ABS, PSR, and PSVB.
- Credit issues — send to Lynda Wofford or Steven Campbell for approval/instruction.
- Damage issues, including pallets — send to Lynda Wofford or Steven Campbell for approval/instruction.
- SCARs — send to Lynda Wofford or Steven Campbell for approval/instruction.
- Insurance certificates for ABS, PSR, and PSVB.
- Back up to Freight Logistics position.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills
Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers, knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
