Job Description
Job Summary: The Senior Director of Imaging and Respiratory Services is responsible for the overall operations, leadership, and direction for all of the activities and personnel associated with hospital-based respiratory services and imaging services throughout the CaroMont Health System. This leader will utilize their comprehensive clinical and imaging expertise to develop and execute enterprise imaging strategies that support the overall health system and specific service line initiatives to achieve clinical, financial, and operational outcomes. Serves as an operational liaison between radiology physician partners, medical staff, and health system leaders. Responsibilities include overseeing the activities for the imaging leadership team, ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence, and efficiency to accomplish operational and strategic objectives. Supports the tenants of high reliability by influencing and supporting leadership of the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate goal completion, efficient operations, and ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained system wide. Maintains specialty knowledge and communicates imaging activities, needs, issues and regulatory changes impacting operations to Senior Leadership on a regular cadence.
Qualifications: Licensed ARRT from an approved Radiology Program or a Registered Nurse with a radiology specialty background; master’s degree in radiologic sciences, nursing, healthcare administration, business or related field required.
Training and Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field with progressive leadership in patient care services and imaging operations in acute care and ambulatory settings, preferably to have led multisite imaging services with strategic planning and execution. Has experience with operationalizing the tenants of high reliability and lean principles. Experience leading work teams in performance / process improvement; in-depth knowledge of legal polices and regulatory / compliance standards; aptitude for problem solving; excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; clear, concise and practical communication skills – both written and oral; proven ability to hold team members accountable for job performance; exhibit good business judgement and acumen; comfortable collaborating with other departments and locations throughout the organization; advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and high pressure environment.
