Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Strategist based in Canada.
This is a hands-on creative strategy role focused on building and scaling high-performing paid advertising creative. You will own the full creative lifecycle, from concept development and briefing through production, testing, and iteration. Working closely with creative and production teams, you will turn performance insights into new hooks, angles, scripts, and campaigns. The role offers significant ownership within a fast-moving, mission-led environment. You will manage a high-volume creative pipeline while balancing brand consistency with performance objectives. Success will be measured through creative quality, throughput, learning, and measurable advertising results.
- Own the creative pipeline from ideation and briefing through production, launch, testing, and learning.
- Develop advertising concepts, hooks, angles, scripts, and creative approaches across acquisition, consideration, conversion, and retargeting.
- Translate concepts into clear, actionable briefs that editors, designers, creators, and videographers can execute independently.
- Brief and coordinate creative production while maintaining quality, pace, brand alignment, and delivery standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and production team to ensure creative work reflects the appropriate brand voice and direction.
- Establish clear hypotheses and performance objectives for each creative concept.
- Monitor creative performance and use metrics and testing results to guide new concepts, iterations, and variations.
- Identify creative fatigue and proactively develop fresh angles and creative variations to sustain performance.
- Build and maintain repeatable creative systems, including briefs, trackers, templates, guidelines, and production workflows.
- Manage a high-volume pipeline of approximately 30 creative concepts per month, depending on production requirements.
- Provide evidence of previous creative strategy work, including briefs, testing processes, performance results, and examples of campaigns or concepts developed personally.
- Complete a paid trial involving an initial batch of concepts taken through the creative process from concept and briefing through production and review.
Requirements:
- 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in creative strategy, paid social, direct-response advertising, or performance marketing.
- Strong hands-on experience developing creative for paid social platforms, particularly Meta and TikTok.
- Proven ability to develop and scale advertising creative at meaningful volume, supported by specific examples and measurable results.
- Strong understanding of creative performance metrics and testing, including CTR, CVR, ROAS, hook rate, and creative fatigue.
- Excellent concept development, hook creation, scriptwriting, and creative briefing skills.
- Experience managing or coordinating editors, creators, designers, videographers, or other creative production resources.
- Ability to independently manage the full concept → brief → production → launch → learning lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of full-funnel creative strategy across acquisition, consideration, conversion, and retargeting.
- Excellent creative judgment, communication, organization, ownership, and independent working skills.
- Comfortable challenging ideas constructively while remaining responsive to brand direction and performance data.
- Collaborative, low-ego approach and ability to work effectively within a founder-led environment.
- Experience with DTC and e-commerce brands, UGC, creator-led content, partnership ads, or influencer creative is a plus.
- Experience with premium, values-driven, heritage, food, or mission-led brands is helpful but not essential.
- Familiarity with Palestinian culture, history, agriculture, or initiatives supporting Palestinian farmers is considered an advantage.
Benefits:
- Remote contractor engagement.
- Primary, near full-time commitment of approximately 30–40 hours per week.
- Flexible engagement measured primarily by creative output, quality, and delivery rather than fixed working hours.
- Paid trial at the beginning of the engagement, with successful completion leading to an ongoing monthly contractor arrangement.
- Opportunity to own a high-volume creative pipeline and directly influence advertising performance.
- Close collaboration with creative leadership and production specialists.
- Exposure to a mission-led organization focused on supporting small-scale farmers and connecting their products with consumers globally.
- Contractors provide their own laptop, basic equipment, reliable connectivity, and secure working environment.
- Any specialized equipment, leave, stipend, wellbeing benefits, or other additional support will be provided only where separately approved.
- Planned engagement check-ins are expected around month 1 and month 3, or according to an otherwise approved cadence.
