Blue Zones Health is creating a Well-Being Services Organization that extends healthcare beyond the clinical encounter. Traditional healthcare reporting often relies on static spreadsheets, lagging data pipelines, and reactive troubleshooting after eligibility errors or discrepancies impact patient care. We want data intelligence to be proactive, accurate, and actionable.

For every member and health plan partnership, the organization should be able to trust its eligibility data, understand enrollment trends, and surface insights before operational friction occurs. The Data Analyst function creates and maintains that core data reliability.

Data operations works as part of a broader clinical and administrative learning system. Data engineering builds pipelines, our Data Analyst safeguards quality and builds stakeholder reporting, and operational teams act on clean insights. The goal is not simply pulling reports—it is ensuring that every clinical and operational decision is backed by pristine, reliable data so our teams can focus on helping people live longer, healthier lives.

The Data Analyst, Health Plan Data owns eligibility data quality and reporting across our health plan partnerships. You'll be the first line of defense on whether the data coming in from health plans is right, and the person who turns that data into reporting stakeholders can actually use.

The Data Analyst translates complex health plan data into clear, reliable insights, working hand-in-hand with data engineering, operations, and leadership. Working closely with our Data Engineer and cross-functional partners, you help make data quality an integrated, trusted foundation of how Blue Zones Health delivers care rather than a retrospective data cleanup exercise.

• Monitor incoming eligibility files from health plan partners, confirming files arrive as expected and flagging issues, gaps, or anomalies early.
• QA eligibility and related data for accuracy and completeness, partnering with the data engineering team when something needs a pipeline-level fix.
• Own data quality accountability for incoming pipelines, ensuring sensitive health plan data is handled securely and accurately from day one.
• Document data quality issues and QA processes so problems are traceable and patterns are visible over time.

• Write complex SQL queries to investigate data issues, answer ad hoc questions, and validate that pipeline fixes actually worked.
• Move flexibly across tools—leveraging SQL, Power BI, and spreadsheets—to diagnose and resolve data discrepancies quickly.
• Apply strong QA instincts to spot anomalies before they cascade into broader operational or reporting problems.

• Build and maintain intuitive, high-impact reporting in Power BI for eligibility, operations, and stakeholder-specific needs.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand what they're really asking for, translating ambiguous business needs into the right data pull or dashboard.
• Design reporting tailored for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring metrics are clear, actionable, and aligned with organizational goals.

• Partner closely with the Data Engineer, operational teams, and leadership to align reporting priorities with organizational growth.
• Bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting workflows, and overall efficiency.
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.

Budgeted Compensation: $85,000-$112,000

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2–4 years of experience as a data or reporting analyst.
• Genuine data literacy and flexibility, with hands-on proficiency across SQL, Power BI, spreadsheets, and related analytical tools.
• Strong SQL capabilities focused on active data investigation, validation, and ad hoc analysis.
• Direct familiarity with healthcare data, eligibility, enrollment, or claims-adjacent work.
• Strong QA instincts and a meticulous eye for data anomalies.
• Clear communicator capable of translating stakeholder needs into precise analytical deliverables.
• Comfortable owning data quality for pipelines built by engineering—QAing, flagging, and partnering on root-cause fixes.
• Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Specific experience managing eligibility or enrollment data pipelines.
• Experience within an IPA, Medicare Advantage, or delegated risk environment.
• Proven portfolio of Power BI dashboard design geared toward non-technical stakeholders.
