Position Summary:
The Building Manager is the on-site leader during shifts and islargely responsiblefor supportingother studentstaff, overseeingdaily operations, andensuring all guests feel welcome and safe in the SUB. This role requires a candidate who has strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adherence to Student Union Employee Handbook guidelines.
Provide clients with exemplary customer service anddetailsnecessary for their events.
Ensurethe building is opened and closed according toguidelines,andproper building procedures arefollowed by guests and staff.
Complete daily reports and communicateall necessary information to supervisors.
Participate in necessary trainingand attend mandatory meetings.
Responsible for ensuringthe building opens and closes according to guidelines.
Ensurethe setup and/or breakdown of equipment in spacesaccording to the reservation specifications by delegating and directing work andassistingwhen needed.
Report any changes in setups tooperationalleadership.
Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment; ensuring all equipment is returned to theappropriate storagearea when not in use.
Ensure that all equipment is always in fully operational condition and report any problems to the supervisor.
Alert supervisor when there is a need for ordering/replacingequipment or supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict-management skills
Ability to have a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Previousexperience in customer serviceand leadership roles
Must be ableto workearlymornings, late evenings, and weekends.
