Position Overview:
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, mechanical repairs, equipment troubleshooting, and general facility maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and operational workspace. This role supports warehouse operations by addressing maintenance needs, responding to work orders, and keeping building systems in working order.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, operate, and perform basic repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and other warehouse or mechanical equipment
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and other warehouse or maintenance equipment as required for the position
- Diagnose basic mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair needs
- Perform basic automotive maintenance and repairs as qualified, including minor mechanical repairs and routine vehicle upkeep
- Perform basic repairs to doors, shelving, fixtures, storage racks, and other building components
- Maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, loading areas, parking areas, and surrounding property
- Perform outdoor maintenance and other physical tasks in varying weather conditions
- Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other routine facility maintenance items as needed
- Assist with general facility upkeep and maintenance projects throughout the warehouse and office
- Assist with trash, recycling, and removal or movement of large items as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, or similar experience
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and identify basic equipment problems
- Experience using common hand tools and power tools
- Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and safe equipment repair practices
- Ability to follow instructions while also working independently and taking initiative when maintenance needs are identified
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and equipment issues
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to keeping the facility safe and functional

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, automotive, industrial, or similar environment
- Familiarity with basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or facility maintenance

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 60 lbs
- Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and working in various physical positions

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including Florida heat
- Ability to work around warehouse equipment, vehicles, machinery, noise, dust, and other typical warehouse conditions

Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Overtime as needed; weekends as needed
- This position is classified as non-exempt, meaning you are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with company policy and applicable law
