Custodial Technician in Cleveland, Ohio at RHM Real Estate Group

Summary

RHM Real Estate Group is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Custodial Technician to join our multifamily apartment property in Cleveland, OH . In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall curb appeal of the property while ensuring common areas, grounds, and resident spaces are consistently maintained to a high standard.

The Custodial Technician plays an important role in keeping the property clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, guests, and employees. This is a hands-on position that involves regular outdoor work, physical labor, cleaning, snow removal, trash removal, and assisting the property and maintenance teams with a variety of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Frequently walk the property to remove litter, debris, cigarette butts, pet waste, and other items that do not belong.
• Identify and report safety hazards throughout the property.
• Keep common areas clean, orderly, and litter-free, including:
  • Management offices, Laundry rooms, Recreation rooms, Mail rooms, Stairways, Dumpster areas, Parking lots, Driveways, Other interior and exterior areas of the property
• Perform "trash outs," including removing abandoned furniture, trash, and other items left behind after resident move-outs and transferring materials to designated dumpsters.
• Clean, rake, and use blowers to maintain shrub areas, walkways, and other exterior spaces.
• Shovel mud, snow, and other debris as needed based on weather and property conditions.
• Assist with preparing apartments for new residents, including cleaning and general make-ready tasks.
• Assist with interior and exterior painting projects.
• Provide assistance with light maintenance tasks as directed by the Property Manager, office staff, or Maintenance team.
• Assist with maintaining storage areas, maintenance shops, and other designated areas.
• Support the property team with various projects and tasks as needed.
• Follow all company procedures and complete assigned work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
• Maintain a positive, courteous, and professional attitude when interacting with residents, coworkers, vendors, and management.
• Work collaboratively with the property and maintenance teams to help maintain the property and uphold RHM standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform physical and manual labor duties on a regular basis.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to perform snow removal and other outdoor maintenance tasks.
• Ability to safely operate electric and gas-powered outdoor equipment.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow proper safety procedures and company policies.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Positive, courteous, and professional attitude toward residents and coworkers.

Must be able to reliably commute to the property or plan to relocate before starting work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is physically active and requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Perform repetitive bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
• Walk the property frequently throughout the workday.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Perform snow removal and other outdoor work.
• Work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Operate electric and gas-powered outdoor equipment.
• Move and dispose of furniture, trash, debris, and other materials.
• Perform cleaning and general custodial tasks throughout the property.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Pay starting at $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
