Job Description

Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to join our Equipment Service team in Fort Worth, TX. This position is responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of automotive and shop equipment for our customers.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys troubleshooting and working with their hands, and takes pride in providing quality service. Experience working with automotive lifts, air compressors, reels, oil dispensing systems, electrical systems, or similar equipment is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong mechanical ability, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to work independently in the field while also working closely with customers and the Equipment Service team.

Shift and Schedule

  • This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with flexibility to work overtime.

Compensation

  • Competitive pay based on experience, paid weekly

Location

  • Fort Worth, TX

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on various types of automotive and shop equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems as needed.
  • Service and maintain equipment including:
  • In-ground and above-ground automotive lifts
  • Air compressors
  • Air and oil reels
  • Oil pumps and dispensing nozzles
  • General automotive and shop equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
  • Complete assigned service work accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs and repairs.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned work areas.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Forklift and OSHA certification preferred (training available)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Verifiable experience/history in a related field
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team
  • A desire to succeed and be a proactive team player
