Construction Worker in Roosevelt, Utah at Strata Networks

STRATA Networks is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Construction Worker to help build and maintain the telecommunications infrastructure connecting our communities. This hands-on role supports underground and aerial cable installation, fiber-optic construction, and site maintenance. In this role, you’ll:

• Assist equipment operators with loading, unloading, and distributing construction materials.

• Install and maintain underground and aerial telecommunications cable and fiber infrastructure.

• Dig trenches, expose existing utilities, and operate hand tools and assigned equipment.

• Assist with backfilling, roadway patching, and construction site cleanup.

• Set up traffic control devices and maintain safe work zones.

• Assist with equipment cleaning, fueling, greasing, and minor repairs.

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety procedures.

• Complete other duties as assigned by the Crew Lead or Supervisor.

To be successful, you’ll need:

• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

• The ability to safely operate assigned equipment and tools or learn as needed.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Basic computer skills and the ability to follow construction plans and instructions.

• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

• The ability to pass a required drug screening.

• Availability for on-call assignments, weekends, holidays, varying shifts, and out-of-town work.

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, and mud.

• Work near streets, highways, construction equipment, and active traffic.

• Irregular hours, with shifts potentially reaching 10–15 hours during peak construction season.

• Perform strenuous physical work, including lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 100 pounds.

• Operate hand tools and power equipment.

• Bend, kneel, walk on uneven terrain, and enter or exit trenches, manholes, and vaults.
