The showroom team focuses on delivering a professional, customer-focused experience while showcasing the latest styles, technologies, and trends in plumbing fixtures and home design. As part of Plimpton & Hills Corporation, the showroom plays an important role in supporting both retail and contractor business by combining product expertise with exceptional customer service.

Position Purpose:

The Regional Showroom Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, supporting showroom teams, and increasing market presence within the assigned locations. This role is focused on leadership, business development, showroom performance, coaching, training, and delivering an elevated customer experience. The Regional Showroom Manager will work closely with showroom associates to improve sales opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, support training initiatives, and develop strategies that increase showroom traffic and revenue growth. This position requires consistent in-person support within each assigned showroom location and active engagement with customers, vendors, and the sales team.

This position requires regular travel between assigned showroom locations, including Torrington, CT, Farmington, CT, Great Barrington, MA, and Wappingers Falls, NY. The Regional Showroom Manager is expected to maintain a consistent in-person presence at each location.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive sales growth and profitability across assigned showroom locations
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase showroom traffic, customer engagement, and overall sales performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with designers, builders, contractors, architects, and homeowners to generate new business opportunities
  • Conduct proactive outreach efforts including customer visits, networking, follow-up communication, and business development activities
  • Partner with showroom associates to improve quote conversion, close opportunities, and increase order volume
  • Support walk-in customers and assist with showroom sales opportunities as needed
  • Step into active selling responsibilities when showroom staffing or customer volume requires additional support
  • Lead by example through active customer engagement, selling behaviors, and relationship building within the showroom
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to showroom associates focused on sales growth, customer experience, and professional performance
  • Train and onboard new showroom associates on company expectations, systems, product knowledge, and selling processes
  • Support continuous training and development for existing showroom teams through regular coaching, PK’s, and hands-on sales support
  • Lead product knowledge trainings (PK’s), vendor trainings, and sales development initiatives
  • Maintain a consistent weekly presence within all assigned showroom locations to support team engagement, accountability, training, and business development
  • Monitor individual and showroom sales performance and work directly with associates to improve opportunities, follow-up, and conversion rates
  • Ensure showroom presentation, displays, merchandising, and overall appearance support a luxury customer experience
  • Coordinate showroom events, promotional opportunities, and local marketing efforts that support business growth
  • Partner with vendor representatives and outside sales teams to increase product awareness and showroom traffic
  • Review customer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with leadership regarding sales goals, staffing support, operational needs, and growth initiatives
  • Assist in resolving escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Support company policies, procedures, vendor programs, and operational standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Experience, Education & Skills:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of showroom, retail, sales management, or related leadership experience preferred
  • Bath, kitchen, plumbing, interior design, or luxury retail industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and develop customer relationships
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Experience with business development and customer outreach initiatives
  • Ability to motivate teams and create a positive sales culture
  • Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple showroom locations effectively
  • Comfortable working directly with customers, vendors, and sales teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, email communication, and showroom operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities
  • Ability to analyze sales performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
