About Us
Crescendo is the AI-Native Customer Experience Platform: one system that runs a company's entire CX operation and continuously improves it. We're replacing the fragmented stack the software industry has sold separately for decades - CCaaS, ticketing, workforce management, quality, knowledge - with specialized AI agents that do the work while people govern it. It's working: AI-handled volume on the platform grew 600% over the past year, brands like Grindr, Headspace and Nothing Bundt Cakes run on Crescendo, and Newsweek named us a 2026 AI Impact Awards winner. We're not competing in an existing category - we're creating one. Join early enough to make your mark on it.
The Role
The Director of Product Marketing owns Crescendo's product marketing function - positioning and messaging strategy, competitive intelligence, segment and pricing strategy, and the go-to-market execution that brings it all to market. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role today, with the opportunity to build the product marketing team as the company grows: you'll drive the function through influence and deep partnership with product, sales, and marketing.
What You Own
- Messaging & Positioning: Continuously develop and refine messaging and competitive positioning based on market feedback.
- Segment & GTM Strategy: Define priority market segments, positioning, proof points, and go-to-market strategy; recommend where to invest or deprioritize.
- Competitive Strategy: Own competitive intelligence, win/loss analysis, battlecards, and displacement strategy; translate market insights into product and GTM decisions.
- Launches & Enablement: Orchestrate launches across product, sales, and marketing; build the decks, demos, and training that keep execution on message.
- Analyst & Market Input: Arm leadership with the positioning, proof points, and briefing materials that shape how the category is understood, and channel what analysts and the market say back into messaging, competitive strategy, and product input.
- Content Leadership: Own the content strategy and editorial engine - thought leadership, product content, and the narratives that build category authority and fuel demand.
- Growth Partnership: Partner closely with growth on funnel messaging, campaign narratives, and conversion - ensuring what we say in-market is what wins in-market.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years in product marketing or related B2B marketing role
- 4+ years leading product marketing strategy
- Strong experience in B2B SaaS/technology/AI
- Advanced, hands-on fluency with agentic AI / coding tools (Claude Code or Codex) - you build your own workflows, prototypes, and analyses with them, not just draft copy
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership - proven ability to align product, sales, and marketing and drive launches and GTM initiatives from plan to delivery.
- Track record launching new products/features and driving adoption and revenue
Base Salary Ranges Per Region
$180,000-$210,000 | West Coast / Northeast
$160,000-$180,000 | Mid-Atlantic / Mountain / Midwest
$150,000-$170,000 | South / Southeast
This role is eligible for incentive opportunities and a benefits package, including medical, 401(k), paid time off and other company benefits.
