JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Finance, the Revenue Cycle Management Project Manager assists with the planning, coordination, implementation, and follow-up of projects that support Revenue Cycle operations across Memorial Healthcare. Project assignments are based on departmental and organizational needs and may include initiatives involving Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Integrity, Denials Management, charge capture, billing, reimbursement optimization, and other revenue cycle functions. This position collaborates with Revenue Cycle leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support process improvement efforts, gather and analyze operational and financial data, monitor project progress, and assist with implementation activities that improve operational efficiency, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and the patient financial experience. Strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family-centered care.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Assists the Associate Vice President of Finance and Revenue Cycle leadership with projects and strategic initiatives as departmental and organizational needs arise.
- Provides project support for initiatives involving Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Integrity, Denials Management, charge capture, coding, billing, reimbursement optimization, payer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates project activities by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, tracking action items, maintaining project documentation, and communicating project status updates.
- Gathers, organizes, and analyzes operational, financial, and performance data to identify trends, support decision-making, and measure project outcomes.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to identify workflow improvement opportunities and assist with implementation of process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Assists with regulatory changes, and departmental initiatives affecting Revenue Cycle operations.
- Supports departmental quality improvement initiatives, policy development, workflow standardization, staff education, and change management activities.
DEPARTMENTAL AND ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates on committees, workgroups, and multidisciplinary teams representing Revenue Cycle and Finance.
- Assists with audits, compliance reviews, performance improvement initiatives, and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Health Information Management, Accounting, or a related field is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, healthcare finance, business operations, or project coordination.
- Experience supporting operational or process improvement projects.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES/MOTOR SKILLS
- Able to travel independently throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.
- Small motor skills required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment as utilized by Memorial Healthcare (MHC).
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL ABILITIES
- Proficiency using modern office, computer and telephone equipment as used by Memorial Healthcare.
- Ability to utilize electronic health record systems, revenue cycle applications, reporting tools, and project tracking software.
- Ability to prepare reports, analyze data, and present information in a clear and concise manner

- Ability to perform repetitive keyboarding and computer work for extended periods.
