As a Sourcing Manager, you’ll play a key role in transforming product concepts into high-quality, competitively priced merchandise.
You’ll partner closely with merchants, planners, product designers, global sourcing teams, and vendors to bring products to market successfully.
The role combines strategic sourcing, financial analysis, supplier management, negotiation, and responsible sourcing practices.
You’ll influence sourcing strategies, optimize product and supplier matrices, and contribute directly to financial and business objectives.
Your expertise will help balance quality, cost, trend relevance, operational execution, and responsible manufacturing.
Working across global teams, you’ll build strong supplier relationships and help ensure products meet commercial and sourcing expectations.

- Lead sourcing strategies in partnership with merchants, planners, product designers, global sourcing teams, and external vendors to translate product concepts into commercially successful merchandise.
- Develop and manage sourcing approaches that support global balance, matrix optimization, product quality, competitive pricing, and broader financial objectives.
- Partner with vendors and sourcing teams throughout the product lifecycle, from early development and costing through production, shipping, and delivery.
- Apply strong negotiation and costing expertise to balance quality and cost while maximizing overall business value.
- Analyze sourcing, financial, supplier, and product information to identify opportunities for improved performance, efficiency, and profitability.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors and global sourcing partners while monitoring supplier activities and supporting responsible sourcing practices.
- Collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups, influencing decisions and aligning priorities to achieve shared business outcomes.
- Provide strategic leadership and informed recommendations while managing multiple priorities and competing deliverables.
- Travel as needed to support sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and business requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, merchandising, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, critical reasoning, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to translate business objectives into effective sourcing strategies.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with experience managing external partners and driving favorable commercial outcomes.
- Strong analytical and financial capabilities, including the ability to evaluate costs, identify opportunities, and understand business impacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, levels, and geographic locations.
- Ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders and build productive relationships with cross-functional and global teams.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple deliverables effectively.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
- Experience with responsible sourcing, apparel and accessories, home goods, or related product categories is valuable.
- Annual salary range of $73,000–$132,000, depending on factors such as market location, education, experience, and certifications.
