Job Description
For more than 25 years, U.S. Dream Academy has worked to empower children and young people through academic support, character development, and mentoring, with a special focus on children impacted by incarceration. We partner with schools and communities to provide young people with the support, relationships, and opportunities they need to reach their potential.
This full-time role is ideal for an experienced youth development professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing both programming and data.
The Program Coordinator works closely with the Center Director to coordinate Learning Center programming, maintain accurate student and program data, and ensure grant-related documentation and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time. The Coordinator also plays a role in our mentoring program by supporting mentor-mentee matching and ongoing match engagement.
We’re looking for someone with:
Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students in a school, after-school, mentoring, or youth-development setting
Strong data collection, documentation, tracking, and organizational skills
Experience supporting mentoring programs, mentor-mentee relationships, and/or volunteers
Experience creating workflows, spreadsheets, trackers, or other systems that improve program operations
Strong attention to detail, follow-through, judgment, and initiative
Experience with grant-funded programming and reporting; Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) grant experience strongly preferred
Nonprofit experience highly preferred
The ability to build strong relationships with students, families, mentors, school personnel, and community partners
