Job Description

Market Research and Insights Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Market Research and Insights Analyst based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to turn market research, competitive intelligence, and data into actionable insights for senior university leaders.
You’ll investigate trends across U.S. higher education, learner behavior, program demand, competitors, and emerging markets.
Working within a collaborative Marketing Insights and Analytics team, you’ll combine internal and external data to uncover meaningful patterns and opportunities.
You’ll transform complex findings into clear narratives, compelling visualizations, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations.
The role balances structured analytical work with deep-dive research and ad hoc projects driven by strategic business questions.
You’ll work closely with marketing, product, and other stakeholders to inform decisions around programs, audiences, markets, and institutional priorities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a curious, detail-oriented analyst who enjoys asking “why” and turning evidence into a compelling point of view.

Accountabilities:
  • Research emerging trends, competitive developments, learner behaviors, program demand, and other factors influencing the U.S. higher education landscape.
  • Monitor industry publications, research literature, competitive intelligence, and internal reports, maintaining an organized system for capturing and curating relevant insights.
  • Develop and continuously update landscape summaries covering important higher education topics, incorporating new data and findings as they emerge.
  • Leverage third-party platforms and public datasets to investigate markets, academic programs, populations, competitors, and potential opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and other teams to research new programs, markets, audiences, and strategic questions, including supporting program portfolio reviews and new program proposals.
  • Conduct detailed, ad hoc research into market and competitive developments to address emerging business questions.
  • Build, maintain, and update data models and reports using external data sources such as IPEDS and tools including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Analyze existing data models and reporting to identify and communicate performance trends across products, segments, and demographics.
  • Enhance dashboards and reporting based on stakeholder feedback, analytical findings, and institutional priorities.
  • Present research and analytical findings to diverse audiences in clear, compelling formats, including executive-level presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytical tools, processes, and outputs while proactively anticipating stakeholder needs.
  • Manage multiple research and analytics projects using project management tools, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Responsibly leverage AI tools to improve workflows, summarization, research, and analytical processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in market research or a closely related analytical discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, identify meaningful insights, and communicate findings effectively to audiences ranging from executives to individual contributors.
  • Familiarity with U.S. higher education terminology, industry dynamics, and relevant data sources.
  • Experience building and maintaining data models and reports in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Intermediate proficiency with DAX and Power Query.
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, mathematical formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience creating and delivering professional PowerPoint presentations for varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Outlook, and project management platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, data validation, and analytical quality.
  • Strong research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with intellectual curiosity and a willingness to investigate the story behind the numbers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI responsibly for research, workflow optimization, summarization, and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate technical or complex findings into accessible business insights.
Benefits
  • Annual salary range of $64,283–$102,872, with a target hiring range of $71,033–$96,103.
  • Actual compensation is determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and relevant business considerations.
  • Full-time, remote position available to employees residing and working in approved U.S. states.
  • High-quality medical insurance with low deductibles.
  • Low- to no-cost dental and vision coverage.
  • 5 weeks of paid time off, plus nearly a dozen paid holidays.
  • Employer-funded retirement benefits.
  • Free tuition program.
  • Parental leave.
  • Mental health and wellbeing resources.
  • A people-centered, inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, professional growth, innovation, and meaningful impact.
  • Reliable internet access and a dedicated, properly equipped home workspace are required for remote employees.
