Barista (Luxury 5-Star Hotel) Job Description
We are partnering with a prestigious luxury hospitality group to recruit professional and service-oriented Baristas to join a high-standard hotel operation.
This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering refined service, understand 5-star standards, and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesMeasure, grind, and brew coffee beans; froth milk and prepare specialty beverages (lattes, cappuccinos, signature drinks) according to 5-star recipes and portion guidelines.
Assist the Head Barista or F&B Supervisor with daily prep, such as preparing house-made syrups, garnishes, and cold brew batches.
Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the coffee station, espresso machine, and guest seating areas.
Follow all food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards, specifically regarding milk storage temperatures and equipment sterilization.
Support the beverage team during peak hours (breakfast/afternoon tea) to ensure timely service and consistent drink quality for guests.
Properly store coffee beans, dairy, and dry goods to maintain freshness, track expiration dates, and reduce waste.
Execute high-standard latte art and garnish drinks with precision to ensure every beverage is "Instagram-ready" and visually stunning.
Carry out tasks assigned by the F&B Manager to ensure smooth cafe or lounge operations, including clearing tables or restocking condiment stations.
Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Barista or in a similar kitchen role within a 5-star or luxury hotel environment.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.
Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk-texturing (latte art), and manual brewing methods (e.g., V60, Chemex, Aeropress).
Basic knowledge of coffee bean origins, roast profiles, and flavor notes to provide recommendations to guests.
Deep understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards, particularly regarding dairy handling and equipment sterilization.
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (e.g., breakfast rush) while following instructions from the F&B Supervisor or Head Barista.
Strong teamwork skills with a refined, professional attitude suitable for direct interaction with luxury hotel guests.
Excellent personal grooming and a high level of attention to station cleanliness.
Willingness to work flexible shift schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
