We’re hiring a high-level Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join us, dedicated to a new product being built in a high-autonomy, fast-moving environment.

The team operates with a lean process and a high degree of ownership. Engineers are expected to work effectively in ambiguity, collaborate directly with product and design partners, clarify requirements before writing code, and ship pragmatic, high-quality solutions with minimal oversight.

This role is for an engineer who enjoys startup-mode execution: turning incomplete ideas into sensible plans, making good product and technical tradeoffs, and moving work forward with urgency and sound judgment.

We are open to hiring at either the Senior or Staff level depending on experience, scope, and demonstrated impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Take loosely defined product ideas and turn them into clear, executable technical plans
  • Ask sharp questions to clarify scope, constraints, edge cases, and customer impact
  • Build and ship features with a high degree of autonomy and ownership
  • Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, quality, maintainability, and product value
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and other stakeholders to move work forward
  • Use modern development tools, including AI coding assistants, as a force multiplier while maintaining strong engineering judgment
  • Contribute to a high-quality engineering culture through thoughtful code review, direct communication, and a bias toward action
  • Help shape technical direction, implementation approach, and delivery strategy within a fast-evolving product environment
  • At the Staff level, raise the effectiveness of the wider team through technical leadership, better patterns, stronger execution standards, and improved decision-making
What We’re Looking For
You may be a fit for this role if you:
  • Have significant experience as a senior or staff-level software engineer in product-focused teams
  • Are comfortable working in environments where requirements are not always fully specified up front
  • Know how to create clarity rather than waiting for it
  • Can break down ambiguous problems into sensible increments and ship value quickly
  • Have strong product judgment and can think beyond just implementing tickets
  • Write clean, maintainable code and care about quality, testing, and rollout risk
  • Communicate directly and effectively, especially when surfacing tradeoffs, risks, or uncertainty
  • Use AI coding tools thoughtfully and effectively, without outsourcing your judgment to them
  • Thrive in a demanding environment that expects autonomy, initiative, and ownership
