Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provides overall direction and administration of all programs and services at the Parkchester NORC Program
- Supervises the procedures followed by staff to implement the programs and services
including: social work services, program development and implementations, volunteer
services, social adult day services, and health education and health services.
-Functions as agency liaison to Community Partners
- Serves as agency liaison to the community; including organizations serving
Parkchester NORC residents over the age of 60, local vendors and to NORC partners.
-Monitors and manages budgets for the NORC SSP program
- Provide direct supervision and operational oversight of the NORC SSP program staff.
-Develops in-service training programs for staff and volunteers.
-Preparation of grant proposals for the NORC SSP program.
- Maintains records and statistics for NORC SSP.
-Oversees purchasing and inventory of office equipment/supplies and materials and
supervises use of equipment and facilities.
-Attends community and agency meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MSW or any master degree in related field
Experience in human service delivery with an emphasis on aging services as well as an understanding of the NORC Model and community-building activities
• Supervisory experience preferable
• Excellent writing and record keeping skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• An understanding and appreciation of the roles of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual
preference, and individual values have as they relate to serving clients and families.
-Evenings and/or weekends as assigned by Senior Director or designee.
