Celebrating over 50 years of excellence, Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc. is Our 280,000 sq. ft. facility houses over 160 state-of-the-art CNC machines. The Precise C.N.C. Machining Institute (PCMI) is facilitated by Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc., a family-owned, Rochester-based leader in advanced CNC machining and custom manufacturing. PCMI is a 4-month PAID training program designed to give you the skills you need to start your career in CNC machining. Upon successful completion of the program, students have the opportunity to continue their career with a job at Precise Tool & Manufacturing.
ABOUT PCMI:
PCMI combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning, giving students practical experience and the functional knowledge required to launch their careers in advanced manufacturing. Topics covered throughout the program include:
- CNC machining basics
- Blueprint reading
- Machine shop math
- Inspection techniques
- Differentiation between metals
- Cutting tools and their proper use
We are looking for students who:
- Enjoy working with their hands - whether it be taking equipment apart and putting back together, working on cars, doing carpentry or side jobs, etc.
- Have strong mathematical skills
- Are mechanically inclined and curious about how things work
- Are comfortable using computers and working with technology
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and dependability
- Have reliable transportation
- High school tech classes and/or BOCES or vocational school classes are a plus!
According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay rate for this job is $17.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
