It combines hands-on data processing, troubleshooting, and reporting responsibilities with analytical problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
Working closely with technical teams, clients, and operational stakeholders, the role supports data integrations, reporting workflows, and quality assurance efforts.
The position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful public-sector projects that directly support student success and educational outcomes.
It is well suited for a detail-oriented data professional who enjoys balancing technical execution with collaborative client support.
This remote opportunity also provides strong potential for growth into more advanced data analysis, integration, and consulting responsibilities over time.

Accountabilities:
  • Monitor, manage, and support recurring data imports, exports, and scheduled processing activities to ensure reliable data operations.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, failed imports, and integration errors while identifying root causes and supporting resolution efforts.
  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and cleanup activities to maintain consistency, accuracy, and completeness across systems.
  • Support reporting and data delivery processes, including recurring reports, client-specific extracts, and downstream file transfers.
  • Assist with API monitoring, ETL-related processes, and foundational data integration activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address data-related requests, troubleshoot operational issues, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Maintain and document data workflows, operating procedures, data dictionaries, and process standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automate processes, and strengthen data reliability and scalability.
  • Support testing, QA activities, and validation efforts related to reporting outputs and data integrations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data operations, data analysis, reporting support, or related fields.
  • Strong experience working with data files such as CSV and Excel, along with file transfer methods including SFTP.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills, including querying, filtering, joining, and validating data sets.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Experience supporting data imports, exports, transformations, and validation processes.
  • Familiarity with data standards, data structures, interoperability concepts, and reporting consistency practices.
  • Exposure to education-focused data frameworks such as Ed-Fi, SIF, CEDS, or similar environments is preferred.
  • Experience with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or Business Objects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with APIs, ETL concepts, ticketing systems, or workflow management tools is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven environments.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative team initiatives.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 – $100,000 USD annually.
  • Remote-first work environment with occasional travel opportunities (10–30%).
  • Comprehensive medical and dental healthcare coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Paid time off, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful education and public-sector initiatives.
