Senior Manager, Alumni Engagement

This is a unique opportunity for a relationship-driven professional to help strengthen and expand a global alumni community within a mission-focused organization dedicated to youth leadership and lifelong engagement. In this role, you will lead impactful alumni initiatives that foster meaningful connections between former participants, volunteers, mentors, and current youth programs. You will collaborate across multiple teams to create scalable engagement strategies, immersive experiences, and community-building opportunities that support long-term participation and advocacy. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, offering the chance to influence programs that create lasting social and educational impact. Working in a flexible and collaborative remote environment, you’ll help build strong networks, elevate storytelling initiatives, and contribute to a vibrant, purpose-driven culture. Accountabilities:
  • Lead the implementation, growth, and daily management of the alumni mentorship program, including recruitment, onboarding, communications, operations, evaluations, and participant engagement
  • Cultivate strong relationships with alumni mentors, speakers, volunteers, and community leaders to encourage long-term involvement and advocacy
  • Coordinate alumni-focused community initiatives, including micro-grant programs and locally hosted engagement experiences
  • Partner with regional and community-based teams to strengthen alumni participation and create meaningful local engagement opportunities
  • Support connections between alumni and youth programs through mentorship, speaking engagements, networking opportunities, and volunteer leadership initiatives
  • Develop scalable systems, processes, and engagement strategies that improve alumni outreach, participation, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams focused on marketing, philanthropy, immersive experiences, and community impact to support organizational goals
  • Manage alumni engagement opportunities tied to major programs, conferences, leadership retreats, and seasonal experiences
  • Track participation metrics, engagement data, and communication effectiveness to support reporting and continuous program improvement
  • Execute segmented communication campaigns across newsletters, email, social media, and digital channels to increase awareness and participation
  • Strengthen the alumni association’s visibility and storytelling efforts through creative outreach and relationship-building initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 3–5 years of experience in alumni engagement, stakeholder engagement, nonprofit leadership, experiential education, community engagement, or related areas
  • Previous involvement with youth organizations or alumni communities is highly valued
  • Proven experience managing relationship-driven programs involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with volunteers, mentors, alumni, partners, and community leaders
  • Experience developing scalable engagement systems, communication strategies, and participant experiences
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data and feedback to improve programs and decision-making
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with creativity, initiative, adaptability, and comfort navigating fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and focus
  • Passion for leadership development, community engagement, and mission-driven work
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work as required
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship support
