Responsibilities

As an Operations Specialist, you will provide support to our growing portfolio of residential communities by filling in at properties and lending an extra hand. In a given day, your tasks may include:

  • Acts as a Roving Property Manager by filling in at properties in the absence of a manager.
  • On assigned properties, directs the day-to-day activities of resident relations, maintenance, inspections, leasing, and other operations.
  • Assists in the hiring of new staff for assigned properties.
  • Supports properties on-site during openings and takeovers.
  • Conducts site visits and completes special projects.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to struggling properties, as assigned.
  • Maintains customer service and excellent relations with residents, resident cooperatives, commercial tenants, outside agencies or vendors and organizations.
  • Ensures compliance with company policy, real estate law and state/federal guidelines.
  • Out of state travel required on an as-needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of industry experience as a Property Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience and understanding of Affordable Housing Programs (HUD Programs) is preferred
  • CRM, CAM, COS, or other related professional certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Yardi and other Property Management software strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and have good time management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, understanding that your scheduled workdays may vary according to staffing and company needs

  • Ability to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to: ability to walk property, including up to 6 flights of stairs, to complete physical inspections
  • Maintain neat, well-groomed, professional appearance

Compensation and Benefits for Operations Specialist:

Pay Range: $63,700.00 - $83,700.00

Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role
