Full-Time Floater Teacher (Ages 18 Months – Kindergarten)
Start Date: August 10, 2026
End Date: June 10, 2027
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Fridays: 8:30 am – 2:00 pm

About the RoleWe are seeking a full-time Floater Teacher who is flexible, adaptable, energetic, and enjoys working with children across a variety of ages and classrooms. The ideal candidate brings an upbeat, positive, can-do attitude, enjoys helping wherever needed, and thrives in an environment where every day looks a little different.
This position supports children ages 18 months through 6 years old, stepping into classrooms as needed, assisting teachers, supporting transitions, and helping maintain a smooth, joyful, and engaging school day.
A floater is often one of the most recognized and beloved staff members in the building. You become a familiar face throughout the school, build relationships with every class, and have the opportunity to impact the entire school community.

General Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:• Assist classroom teachers across toddler and primary environments as needed
• Support children academically, socially, emotionally, and physically throughout the school day
• Help maintain safe, organized, welcoming, and prepared classroom environments
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, water play, lunch, rest time, transitions, and special events
• Step confidently and positively into different classrooms and routines as needed
• Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, organization, and preparation of materials
• Support classroom management and help maintain consistency for children during transitions
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff members across the school
• Demonstrate patience, flexibility, kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to help wherever needed
• Assist with schoolwide events, celebrations, special programs, and activities throughout the year
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and school events as required
• Participate in August in-service week and required professional development opportunities
Requirements• Experience working with young children preferred
• Early Childhood Education background preferred but not required
• Montessori experience is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable working with children ages 18 months – 6 years
• Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable moving between classrooms and responsibilities throughout the day
• Strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
• Positive, upbeat personality with a strong can-do attitude and willingness to jump in wherever support is needed
• Have obtained, or be willing to obtain, First Aid and CPR Certifications (paid for by employer)
• Willing to complete annual professional development hours (paid for by employer)
• Willing to obtain a background check through the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning
