You will lead a team of Sales Engineers supporting mid-market and enterprise deals, shaping technical pre-sales strategy and driving revenue growth. The role plays a key part in improving win rates, accelerating sales cycles, and increasing deal size through strong solution design and storytelling. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to align technical execution with go-to-market strategy. This is a highly collaborative, customer-facing leadership position in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the technical pre-sales organization and ensure strong execution across complex sales cycles, while directly contributing to revenue performance and customer success:

  • Define and execute pre-sales strategy for mid-market and enterprise opportunities, partnering with Sales leadership on qualification, deal shaping, and solution positioning
  • Drive revenue impact by improving win rates, increasing deal size, and reducing sales cycle time through technical excellence and strong solution alignment
  • Lead high-value customer engagements, including executive-level technical discussions, translating infrastructure and hosting capabilities into clear business outcomes
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing Sales Engineering team, establishing best practices, playbooks, and scalable enablement frameworks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Product Marketing to influence roadmap priorities and refine technical messaging and demos
  • Oversee demo environments, proof-of-concept frameworks, and technical storytelling standards to ensure consistency across customer segments
  • Strengthen post-sale continuity by partnering with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term customer satisfaction
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical depth, commercial acumen, and leadership experience in pre-sales or solutions engineering environments:

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-Sales roles, with strong exposure to hosting, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or developer-focused products
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a senior leadership or Director-level role managing technical or pre-sales teams
  • Proven track record of influencing complex enterprise deals and driving measurable revenue impact
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to understand and explain cloud and infrastructure architectures
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into business value for diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success partnering closely with Sales leadership in a revenue-driven environment
  • Strong coaching, team-building, and organizational leadership capabilities in fast-paced, scaling environments
Benefits
  • Competitive annual base salary ($100,000–$130,000 target range, depending on experience and location)
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company matching contribution
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) options
  • Generous paid time off and flexible work-life balance approach
  • Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement and ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Pet insurance and additional wellness-focused benefits
  • Inclusive culture with employee resource groups and strong diversity initiatives
  • Remote-friendly work environment with flexibility across U.S. locations
